The Eaton SPD3200 is meticulously engineered to safeguard 3 Phase power systems against surges and spikes arising from lightning strikes and other electrical sources. Positioned for point of entry or main board protection, the unit is seamlessly connected in parallel with the power system via its own safety disconnect MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker).
Differential and common mode transients are efficiently diverted to mains earth via internally mounted surge diverters through a common earth bus. All internal connections are optimised for minimum impedance to facilitate maximum current flow back to earth.
The model (SPD3200-TN-E) is specifically designed for systems with a grounded neutral when connected for N-E operation. Line transients are diverted directly in L-E mode.
