Eaton PSFi

The Eaton PSFi is engineered as an IEC, Class III plug-in surge power board tailored for domestic, SOHO (Small Office/Home Office), and light industrial environments. Featuring 10A and 16A IEC in/out compatibility, a durable case, dual-mode filter, and 3-mode surge protection, it ensures comprehensive power surge management.

The Eaton PSFI is engineered to deliver secondary protection against power surges stemming from external sources such as lightning strikes and substation switching, while also offering protection from surge events originating on the secondary side of the filter. Compliance with standards including AS3100, AS1768, IEC61643-1, IEC61000-6-1, 2, 3, 4, and other relevant codes, the unit ensures reliable performance and adherence to industry benchmarks.

Employing a 3-stage protection mechanism comprising primary and secondary MOV protection alongside a Low-Q LC filter, the Eaton PSFI effectively filters line harmonics, noise, and RF transmitters, with a cutoff frequency of <10kHz and a minimum attenuation of 40dB above 1MHz. Operational status is indicated through lamps on the front panel, with the “OK” light signaling power application and the “FAULT” light indicating damaged surge protection circuitry, prompting unit replacement.
