The Eaton ESFi Surge Filters represent a cutting-edge solution for comprehensive site surge protection, available in both single and three-phase configurations. These Class II surge protection devices (SPDs) are engineered to deliver robust surge protection in a compact footprint.
Utilising UL1449 ed3 certified thermally-fused MOV devices alongside air-wound inductors, these models offer current-limited output, coordinated to surge levels below 3kA, ensuring protection to ANSI/IEEE C62.41 Category B level. This level of protection is commonly accepted by medium power LV loads such as UPS, rectifiers, and industrial machines. The design ensures an exceptionally low let-through voltage (<600V, 3kA, 8/20us), providing reliable surge protection.
Additionally, these units offer filtering of line harmonics, noise, and RF transmitters, with a cutoff frequency of <10kHz and a nominal attenuation of 48dB above 1MHz.
