We keep the Power On for…

The Retail and Point of Sale Industries

Retail establishments, including stores, supermarkets, and shopping malls, depend on electricity to power various critical systems such as lighting, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, point-of-sale terminals, and security systems.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) solutions are crucial for protecting these systems from power disruptions that could lead to revenue loss, spoilage of perishable goods, and compromised security. With the rise of e-commerce and omnichannel retailing, maintaining reliable power is essential for supporting online transaction processing, inventory management and customer engagement platforms.

Effective Power Management practices not only ensure uninterrupted operations but also contribute to cost optimisation and sustainability efforts by minimizing energy waste.

IBA Retail Asset Management

IBA Retail AustraliaIndigenous Business Australia Retail Asset Management, established in 1990 by the Australian Government, aims to enhance economic development opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia.

Power On Australia was enlisted by IBA Australia to design a suitable UPS solution for their Tennant Creek Foodbarn in the Northern Territory. The UPS was intended to provide battery autonomy in the event of a power outage, supporting the complete IT infrastructure in the store to ensure continued operation. Power On continues to provide a maintenance program to this store today.

QBD

QBDQBD stands as one of Australia’s preferred bookstores, offering millions of titles across all genres.

Power On Australia was commissioned to design a boutique 48V power inverter system to support a 4kW load of telecommunications equipment. QBD sought a reliable power system with a long Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), and the Eaton DC 48V range boasting a 50-year MTBF was the perfect fit for their “set and forget” approach to electronic infrastructure. Power On Australia designed the system to meet QBD’s requirements, ensuring a satisfied customer in the end.

Power On Australia collaborates with IGA to deliver tailored power quality solutions, including specially designed UPS and generators for most new stores across Australia. With a longstanding partnership, we’re proud that IGA management prioritizes power quality, recognizing its crucial role in business continuity. Our recent installation at White’s IGA on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast involved a 10kVA UPS installation to support all their IT and Point of Sale Equipment. Congratulations to White’s IGA for recognizing the importance of power quality in their operations.

Ladbrokes

Ladbrokes stands out as one of Australia’s premier online betting platforms for racing and sports enthusiasts. With critical operations, such as during the Melbourne Cup, any power outage could lead to substantial revenue losses.

In response to their rapid business expansion, Ladbrokes enlisted Power On Australia to design and install generators and UPS equipment. These backup systems ensure uninterrupted operations, particularly for their state-of-the-art monitors capturing real-time data on every transaction. Following the success of this project, Ladbrokes continued to engage Power On Australia for similar installations across their Australian IT network, further strengthening their reliability and resilience.
