We keep the Power On for…

Consistent, reliable power ensures the seamless delivery of critical services. Located in the Wide Bay-Burnett regional of Queensland, the Fraser Coast Council covers an area of around 7,125 square kilometres. Maintaining its own data centres, the Council has multiple sites with communications cabinets and servers, and everything from 3 Phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) in the data centres to plugin UPS desktop units.

Fraser Coast

Challenge

Fraser Coast Council is responsible for many critical services to the community. The council has 1000+ employees, many of whom are fully computer based. A failure in one of the data centres would have significant impact, including a loss in external network connectivity and access to critical systems. This would reduce staff’s ability to deliver services. As IT Infrastructure Coordinator, Robert Maag leads a very knowledgeable team with significant technical expertise. He knows what power equipment is required to provide uninterrupted power coverage for the Council. Robert and his team place great importance on preventative maintenance. It is critical potential issues in the system are picked up before any failures occur.

“Power On Australia works hard to tailor solutions around our requirements, building in redundancy, so we very rarely have an impactful failure.”

Solution

Fraser Coast Council has worked with Power On Australia for over 10 years, working closely with our engineers to devise tailored solutions to their Power Quality and Power Management needs. We design, construct and install the Council’s 3 Phase UPS’, as well as providing other power equipment to protect any assets that the Council may need.
